Could you save a life?

Well, could you?

It’s a big question, and one that you hopefully won’t have to face in your diving experiences. Diving has come a long way since it’s recreational introduction back in the 60’s and is a remarkably safe sport. Improvements in technology, equipment and access to training has certainly helped to make it so. Diving agencies like SSI provide a variety of structured courses to develop skills and abilities at your own pace and in a controlled environment.

There’s always the potential that a diving emergency could take place but when you are qualified in First Aid and CPR you will increase the chances of the divers survival tremendously

First Aid comes in many forms

Rescue me

The Stress & Rescue Course is great way to take your, (and your buddies), self help skills to the next level. Learn to recognise stress before it becomes a problem and how may be the best way to deal with it. A practical course with in water activities simulations problems including stressed, unconscious and injured divers.

Not only is the Stress & Rescue Course a step on the way to becoming a dive professional, it also contains important life skills. Taking a moment to assess situations before rushing in, and reevaluating if a potential solution is working or not, is useful not only in the water but in day to day life. Education on how to help and provide CPR is also becoming popular in schools and activity clubs around the world and why not! If you can offer assistance to someone who needs help, it’s going to make the world a better place… You may even change someone’s life.

Recognizing diver stress both physically and psychologically is a key component within the rescue diver course and you’ll be confident to take action in or out of the water
