Become the buddy everyone wants to dive with
The SSI Stress & Rescue Diver course takes the focus away from learning basic diving skills. Learn to manage incidents both in and out of water. Beginning in confined water, the diver moves into open water and learns how to assist injured or missing divers.

What do I need
- Be reasonably fit
- SSI Open Water certification or equivalent
- Complete a simple Medical Statement
- An emergency CPR course such as the SSI React Right, or equivalent, is necessary before certification
What will I learn
- Dive accident scene management
- Apply life saving skills to both in and out of the water scenarios
- Search for and recover a missing diver
What’s the schedule
- 1st Day – Knowledge development and confined water skills and practice
- 2nd Day – Further skill development and skill practice in open water
- 3rd Day – (Optional) Recap or further development of learned skills
What can I do next
Once you have completed the SSI Stress & Rescue Diver course, you can start increasing your diving experience and head towards the SSI Dive Guide certification. Safely and independently lead other divers around your chosen dive sites. Contact us for more details 🙂
