Your first underwater steps
If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, the SSI Basic Diver Course is for you. Take your time learning this introduction to diving in a swimming pool and the ocean. While not a scuba certification course, The SSI Basic Diver Course is a quick and easy experience showing you what it takes to explore the underwater world.
What’s included
- Pool session (Optional)
- 2 x Open water dives
- Snacks and refreshments

What do I need
- Be in reasonably good health
- Basic swimming skills
- Complete a simple Medical Statement
- No previous diving experience necessary
What will I learn
- Basic diving knowledge to keep you safe underwater
- Simple scuba skills in a swimming pool or shallow water
- How to dive in the ocean under the guidance of a SSI Instructor
What’s the schedule
- 08:30 – Meet the team and have a chat
- 09:00 – jump on the boat and do 2 dives in the Ocean
- 13:00 – Eat lunch and talk about how cool it was
Decided that diving is a bit scary and one dive is enough
No problem, you can take the time on the boat to relax and maybe go snorkelling for an hour while taking a picture or two for your Instagram and Facebook buddies to be jealous of.
